They are seeking a dedicated Information Security Analyst to join their dynamic team and play a pivotal role in protecting the organisation’s valuable information assets.

Reporting to the Head of IT Infrastructure and Cyber Security, you will be at the forefront of safeguarding systems and data from evolving cyber threats. This is a key role focused on enhancing cyber resilience within a fast-paced, community-focused environment.

The Role

As an Information Security Analyst, your responsibilities will be central to maintaining and improving the organisation's security posture. Key duties include:

  • Creating and maintaining the Information Security Manual, outlining essential policies, procedures, and guidelines.

  • Conducting comprehensive risk assessments and coordinating vulnerability scans to proactively identify potential threats and weaknesses.

  • Developing strategic roadmaps to effectively address identified security risks.

  • Responding to and managing security incidents, including investigation, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident reporting with recommendations.

  • Leading cyber security awareness initiatives across the organisation, including developing and delivering training programs and conducting phishing simulation campaigns.

  • Maintaining compliance with relevant industry standards and frameworks, such as the Essential 8 and ISO 27001.

About You

You are a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a strong passion for cyber security and a collaborative approach. Your qualifications and experience should include:

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years working directly in information security roles, supported by a strong technical background.

  • Certifications: Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent are highly recommended.

  • Knowledge: Strong familiarity with security frameworks and standards like the Essential 8 (specifically Maturity Level 3) and ISO 27001. Knowledge of ITIL frameworks is also beneficial.

  • Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and outstanding communication capabilities (both written and verbal).

  • Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Management, Cyber Security, or a closely related field.

  • Extras: Experience in project management and the proven ability to thrive in a high-speed, fast-paced operational environment are advantageous.
